FAQ's
What type of wax do you use?
We use coconut apricot creme wax for our bamboo vessels and a hemp coconut soy blend for our glass vessels. Both of which are biodegradable, skin safe, BPA free, phthalate free, toxin free, cruelty free, and slow burning making our candles amongst the longest burning on the market.
Do your bamboo vessels pose a fire hazard?
We take extra precaution in ensuring that our bamboo vessels meet the ASTM requirements for candle safety. Bamboo is a woody grass grown in wet, tropical climates, meaning it has a higher water content. This makes it less likely to catch fire. Still, we take extra precaution to treat our candle vessels with an eco friendly fire retardant. As long as you follow our guidelines for how to care for your candle, you will have a safe and enjoyable candle experience.
Can your containers be reused?
Our bamboo vessels are designed to be thrown in a compost pile after use. If you would like to repurpose them just empty the last remaining bit of wax with hot water clean the inside. We advise against refilling the bamboo vessels with wax that you plan on burning as they go through a treatment process before being filled to ensure they are safe to burn in your home. Our glass vessels are also encouraged to be repurposed. Note: we assume no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.
